Steve Waugh does City to Surf with Jock Athletic
Sunday 14 August 2011
The Foundation is teaming up with Jock Athletics’ Average Joe's Runners Club and Team Waugh to raise money for the Steve Waugh Foundation in the world's biggest fun run, the Sun Herald City2Surf!
Jock Athletic has a great history with Steve Waugh and his foundation and Steve still trains with Jock Athletic, if you could call it that. We have been involved in all the events the Foundation has put on and are very proud to be supporting the great work the Steve Waugh Foundation does for kids with rare diseases. So come and join us for this great cause and run, walk or crawl your way to Bondi in this great event and help raise money for these kids. We will make sure you have fun doing it as well!
Jock Campbell is a High Performance Coach and was head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Australian Cricket Team for several years under Steve Waugh and will be taking sessions for Team Waugh to help with Steve’s noble cause. So come, join in and easily beat Steve in this race.
Jock will be providing training tips and programs leading up to the event, starting with the Beginners and Intermediate programs, which can be found on the Jock Athletic Website, www.jockathletic.com/pg_average_joes.php
If you want a more individualised program or to join in on some sessions please contact Jock at jockcampbell@jockathletic.com
As a warm-up run, Jock will be taking a group to complete the Sutherland to Surf on Sunday 24 July. Go to www.sutherland2surf.com.au for details.
